We're equipping and empowering you to foster resilient, Christ-centered faith in the next generation.

"In these days of cultural chaos and confusion, families need the support of the church more than ever.  Parents are realizing that passing their faith and values on to their children is primarily their responsibility but where do they turn for help? We are thankful to introduce the Initiative for Faith and Family (The-IFF).  We are inviting you to join us on this journey!  You will be inspired, equipped, and supported by the resources and relationships you will find as we work together to make a difference in the next generation."

Bishop Tommy McGhee

Executive Director of IPHC Discipleship Ministries

About Us Helping you build foundations of faith at home

The Initiative for Faith and Family (The-IFF) was created by Discipleship Ministries of the IPHC to inspire, equip, and support local churches and families to pass down a vibrant Christ-centered faith to the next generation. The-IFF is made possible through a grant awarded by Lilly Endowment Inc and additional funds provided by the IPHC. The-IFF will develop practical resources for both the church and the family as they encourage parents and caregivers to embrace their Biblical role of being the primary nurturers of their children’s faith.

Because the home is where children and teenagers spend most of their time, their parent’s influence is the most crucial. Jesus states in Luke 18:8 that He will be looking for faith upon His return. Therefore, we desire to be found faithful in helping fulfill this calling by investing in our homes and those diligently leading them.

" What could be more important than depositing the seeds of faith in the next generation?! In a society that has moved farther and farther from biblical foundations, it’s more important than ever to equip families to plant, water, and cultivate those seeds. I’m deeply encouraged by the resources and inspiration The-IFF provides!"

Dr. Ryan Jackson, Raleigh, NC

Focus Two is to EQUIP parents, caregivers, and their churches with strategic, programmatic, and relational resources designed to help them pass down their faith to the next generation.

" As a minister and a parent, the potential I see in The Initiative for Faith and Family excites me. It’s our call as parents to raise our children to be Christ followers that have a vibrant and intimate relationship with Jesus. Many of us recognize this call but feel unequipped to carry it out. The equipping and resources being developed through this Initiative will help parents. I would encourage anyone to get involved in The Initiative for Faith and Family!"

" As a parent and grandparent, I personally know what matters most to the Christian parent; for our children and our children’s children to personally know and walk in God’s truth. As a licensed clinical counselor, I see the needs of the family and the issues the family faces in today’s culture from a broader lens.  I count it a privilege to come along side others in The Initiative for Faith and Family."

"Nothing matters more to me than seeing my children know and walk with Christ. Even though I've been following Jesus for years, I still wonder if I'm doing all I can to point them to Him. I need others to help me parent biblically in this challenging world, and The Initiative for Faith and Family is doing that. I'm thankful for how they come alongside parents to help us thoughtfully love and disciple our kids. I have gained so much from their wisdom, encouragement, and support; I think you will, too!"
